Junior Project Controls Consultant – Primavera P6 Specialist

We are seeking a Junior Project Controls Consultant with expertise in Primavera P6 and project reporting to join our dynamic team. As a Consultant – Project Controls, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional value to our clients by leveraging your knowledge of project controls, automation, data, and business intelligence.

You understand the importance of data-driven reporting and are eager to contribute to the future of intelligence-driven project management.

This role offers primarily remote work, with occasional client site visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of project scopes.
  • Maintain high-quality schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Manage resources, cost, and activity data within monthly reporting cycles.
  • Ensure schedule data integrity for executive-level reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to unify information and reporting.
  • Provide expert scheduling, and project reporting, and collaborate with data teams for timely provision of program data, data extracts, and schedule reports.
  • Attend client meetings and take ownership of your project scope.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Primavera P6, with expertise in:
    • Working with live schedules on large, complex projects.
    • Importing/exporting functionality (Excel, XML, extracting XER data).
    • Utilizing all areas of the software, including OBS, roles, resources, activities, costs, codes, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of various formulas, power query, and advanced data manipulation/problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with standard project and performance reporting metrics (EVM, CPI, SPI) and the ability to produce reports within and outside of Primavera P6.

Preferred, but not essential skills:

  • Basic understanding of programming.
  • Experience with Unifier or P6 API.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and SharePoint for collaboration.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methods.
  • Experience with business intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.).
